On our recent trip to Guatemala, we got to spend some time with the head weaver's son Danilo and work on photography. We hired him soon after to take some behind the scenes photos of our new fall/winter items being made. It's quickly turned into one of those "student becomes the teacher" situations. These photos have such a depth to them, and we credit it to the fact that he has such a deep love for his Kaqchikel culture and his mother's art form. He's captured some stunning images of the back strap loom below, and they are too good not to share. (You can also follow Danilo @photo_like502)
